YOUR TURN TO CREATE.
Workshops: Bringing Metal Art to Life
Alongside creating sculptures, Dion is passionate about sharing his craft through hands-on workshops. He has travelled to many regional communities leading sculpture workshops with all skill levels learning to shape and weld their own metal artworks.
With the upcoming opening of The Dusty Chook’s function space, Dion will soon have a permanent home for these workshops—we will share more details in the coming months about workshop dates, how to get involved, and the exciting opportunities this new creative space will offer.
For Dion, the true art lies not just in the final sculpture,
but in the story each metal fragment holds.

Projects & Commissions
Dion’s work extends far beyond private commissions.
His public sculptures have been featured in streetscape beautification projects and tourism initiatives across Western Queensland, helping to turn rural towns into destinations for art lovers and travelers alike. His large-scale installations—15 to date—celebrate the heritage, resilience, and raw beauty of the Australian outback. In 2022, three of his sculptures were included in the nominations for the Australian Street Art Awards. Check out Dion's Sculptures.
